Special Function Keys Command Key Pressing and holding down the command key allows you to test out hot spots and functions as they will perform in the ProViewer. The first thing you will notice is that the cursor changes depending upon what it is over. It will turn into the finger cursor over hot spots, “hot” pictures (pictures with assigned actions) and movies that are defined to spring open. It will display the stop/pause cursors over active movies and the hand cursor over movies or pictures that you have defined as able to be moved by the user. This gives you the opportunity to test all the ProViewer functions before actually having to create a ProViewer. Control Key Holding down the control key allows you to view all of the hot spots on a page at once. There is no other consequence to this action. You may select and move objects as usual. As soon as you release the control key the hot spots will once again become invisible. Caps Lock Pressing and the caps lock key allows you to view all of the hot spots on a page at once. There is no other consequence to this action. You may select and move objects as usual. The hot spots will remain visible until you release the caps lock by pressing the key once again. Option Key Holding down the option key while dragging a picture, movie, hot spot or text box duplicates the item. The original item remains where it was before the drag. The duplicate item will be placed down in the new position. Holding down the option key while selecting Size Page will frame the window tight around the page. Shift Key Holding down the shift key while dragging a picture, movie, hot spot or text box causes the drag to be constrained to a vertical or horizontal path. The constraining direction is dependent upon the first direction to which the item is moved. Holding down the shift key while resizing a picture, movie, hot spot or text box causes the resize to be constrained to a the aspect ratio of the item. That is, if the item was perfectly square before the resize, holding down the shift key will keep the item square as the size changes. Arrow Keys Pressing the arrow keys while a picture, movie or hot spot is selected will nudge the item one pixel in the direction of the arrow. With nothing selected or from within a ProViewer, the arrow keys may be used to scroll through the pages. The down arrow and the right arrow scroll forward. The up arrow and the left arrow scroll backward. Within ProView, the arrow keys work as usual when an item is selected. When there is no items selected, the arrow keys now flip through the pages. Color Eyedropper Command-Shift-E This command opens the new “Color Eyedropper” dialog. If text is selected, the dialog opens to change the text color. If a text box is selected but no text within the box is selected the dialog opens to change the text background color. In all other cases the dialog opens to change the page color. (If no page is open this function is disabled.) Select All Command-A This command evokes the new “Select All” selection in the EDIT menu. If a text box is selected, Select All selects the entire text within the box. In any other case Select All selects all the items on a page.
